We’re Off

Apologies for being so rubbish at blogging, I’ve got loads to tell you but no time to write it all up. I have written it down though so I wont forget and will try to blog it all when I can.

Basically over the last few days we came back from Albany and we’ve been to the Pinnacles and yesterday we went to the Wave Rock which was 360km east and its a crazy rock that looks like a wave funnily enough which was cool.

We’ve checked out now and are gonna start the next leg up to Darwin. We were originally going to get the Indian Pacific train from here (Perth) to Adelaide and then from there to Melbourne then Sydney but now we’re gonna drive up to Darwin with our new buddy Jelle (pronounced something like yeller, but I call him Jelly) which should work out cheaper and we get to see the north of Australia.

So, I’ll let you know how we get on, I don’t know when I’ll next get online, hopefully sooner rather than later.

The Wave Rock

Stone me!! What an incredible and unforgetable sight …

So, driving to Darwin huh? I suppose you realise how far that is … over 4k kilometres - should give you a taste of just how big Oz is. Sounds like a great journey though - I looked it up on the net but stopped reading when they mentioned crocadiles ….

Best wishes to Jelle, hope he can drive …

Have a great time but be prepared for long distances without places for getting water, food, fuel, RAC etc.

Been looking through your blog. What can I say? It looks like an amazing exerience. I love that wave rock thingy. You are brave to go on such an adventure like you have. Nice one. Something pretty cool happened to me in High Wycombe the other day though. I actually got something worth having in a Kinder Suprise egg. Thats hard to beat even with your wave rock.

Take care, look after yourself and congrats on the baptism.

I saw the Indian Ocean film too …looked ok to me but then, I have a history of videoing my kids in the water so the fact that the ocean was winning didn’t appear that strange. Jonny gets full marks for keeping the camera running instead of running for the nearest coastguard.

PS: you’ll have to do something to please old queen victoria. How about a bungee jump!!!

PPS: May not be posting for a while after that last PS especially as I’ve just returned after a week away on the Gower!!

You wont know I’ve been bungee jumping until you see the pics :-)
