Settled In

Hi everyone.
Its around week 4 in Christchurch and we’ve moved into a house with four students so I’ve now got my own room and my own bed after staying in hostels (and cars) for nearly 3 months its nice. The house is really cold though coz its winter outside and theres no central heating inside(!). Our house mates are all ok and we’re getting on well which is good. The rent is cheap too.

I woke up this morning/afternoon to find a big empty space where the telly used to be because it actually belonged to one of the guys who used to live here and so he came and took it back. The girls aren’t too keen on our idea to get a new 32″ LCD though so thats a pity.

The next thing is to get a job to build the funds back up to travel around New Zealand and maybe fall out of a plane or off a bridge or 3…

Just been catching up - we’ve been away on holiday for a couple of weeks and before that very busy with American visit and aftermath… That actually resulted in 7 baby Christians, most of whom are coming along to things (boys aged 15-16, friends of Adam who’s been trying to encourage them). Perth-Darwin photos are amazing - you are a seriously good photographer!!! Don’t know how you could climb that Needle thing…
Luke O is back for a couple of weeks before starting uni. Good to see him. Hope to start Faith Group again soon, with new layworker, school-leaver Dave (Rhiannon is distressed as she is now older than layworker). Have you heard Emily excelled in her A Levels.
    Take care

Did you have a good holiday? In what way did the american visit result in 7 babies? :-S

Im not that good really, just point and shoot lol.

Thats funny about Rhiannon now being the oldest ha ha, how old is the new guy and wheres he from? Forward my congrats onto Emily coz she’s not on facebook

Apologies for strange comments appearing under (over) my name!!

Bet the girls wouldn’t be too upset if YOU bought a 32″ LCD tele … tell them it throws out a couple of watts of heat and they might reconsider! Do you have Sky down there or is it the wrong hemisphere?
Jet’s been for walkies again … on her own! I think she enjoys the challenge of remembering where she lives, or she’s looking for you perhaps. I could point her in the right direction I suppose, ie, straight down!!!!

We had someone speaking at MP the other day who is pastor of a Vineyard church in Perth. I told him you’d been through that place, he was most impressed. Found any good-place-to-be fellowships near you yet?
Well, take care and pack your own chute (I hope that’s good advice!)

PS - actually starting to miss you now … our internet has gone slow again!!

Lol me and jonny were planning on getting one, we still might after we get jobs, we’ll see. They do have sky down here, no HD yet though but its too expensive with lots of repeats apparently.
I don’t think jet would like it that much here theres no settee that she can claim and the cat has got a chair.

I havn’t yet but I randomly found out last night that all the girls do-or-sort-of go to church and I’m gonna go to Melissa’s one on Sunday.

I noticed you raised a support ticket with eclipse, did they get back to you? Its still going slow, I thought you were thinking of going with sky?

  5. Dad Says:

Yeah! said they’ve been working on it!!
Hearing some mixed reports about Sky b/band so dunno.
So, the only way you’ll get to see my photos is if I put them on Picasso then?

  6. Nathan Says:

Lol its picasa http://picasaweb.google.com and thats prob not the only way but its the best way I can think of atm.

Jonny says his parents have just gone to sky talk and you get free calls to some numbers so they’ve got free calls to our landline here…

Hi Nathan - hope all is well. Andrew Evans (Mel & Margarets son) was married on Sat so I arranged the flowers etc and we went to the wedding - receiption at the bowls club; a lovely day and lovely wedding. Beata who he has married is from Poland and some of her family came over; that was a challenge as some of them could not speak English and me no speak Polish! I expect you have heard that John & Trish and Tony & Glenys are now grandparents. Sian gave birth to Joseph Carwyn James Walters on 5th Sept. Sandra’s husband is now Captain of the Gold Club so we don’t see her much at the moment. Barry & Lynne are in Egpyt on hols at the mom. Thats about it for the mo. Hope you get a job soon. Take care.
